About this campaign
Camp Shriver needs your help. Without enough funds, the kids attending
their summer program won't have the resources they need for the duration
of the program. Please help by purchasing this great t-shirt for $25.
All funds raised will go directly to the program. Wearing this shirt
will also help me to find you to say thanks in person along the marathon
course!
For the past eight years, Camp Shriver at the University of
Massachusetts Boston has welcomed over 800 children between the ages of
8-12, half with and half without intellectual and developmental
disabilities, from low income families in the Boston area to a free
inclusive summer sports camp. As someone who has dedicated her career to
providing services to individuals with special needs and ensuring that
they develop the social skills necessary to form meaningful social
connections, I consider this an incredibly meaningful cause. Camp
Shriver serves an equal number of children with and without disabilities so that all children can play and learn--as equals!
