About this campaign

Help support the Canine Advocacy Program in support of Child Victims throughout the State of Michigan!!

Your purchase will directly impact Child Victims throughout the state. All money earned from this fundraiser goes directly to the Canine Advocacy Program, which supports 25 dogs & counting throughout both the Upper & Lower Peninsula.

Canine Advocacy Program is a is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization, Michigan non-profit corporation and a licensed Michigan charitable organization.

The CAP program provides a highly trained dog that will accompany a child victim to interviews as well as court appearances.

CAP was developed by its director, Daniel Cojanu as result of an idea by a coworker. After researching various programs around the country, it was felt that we desperately needed such a program to assist child victims who were going to be required to testify. We were very fortunate that Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, MI donated such a fine dog as Amos to the program. Canine Advocate Amos came to us in 2010 extremely well trained. With the assistance of Leader Dogs, Amos was trained to work in the court system. Amos has been widely accepted by many judges who allow us to utilize their courtrooms to train with Amos.

Now in its 7th year, CAP supports Child Victims throughout the State of Michigan with 24 additional Canine Advocates and three more in the near future.
