About this campaign

Everyone, everywhere has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the same is true for wildlife conservation organizations. This fundraiser will benefit both N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia and Cheetah Conservation Botswana (CCB). Both organizations have been faced with decreased funding due to travel bans and increased needs by the local communities they support. Wildlife conservation is impossible without engaging, employing and earning the trust from local communities, so this is a particularly tough time.

We want to help ensure that N/a'an ku sê and CCB can weather the pandemic and continue the amazing work they are doing to protect cheetahs and work with local communities, both during and after this global crisis.

All money raised will be equally divided and directly deposited to the two organizations. Additional donations are GREATLY appreciated!

People in the Seattle area can choose the "ship to organizer" option. That way you don't have to pay the shipping fee. We will facilitate contact-free porch pick-up.

Shirts can be shipped to the following countries. While the international shipping fees are not unreasonable, we recommend coordinating with your friends and family to get a bigger order together so that you'll only be charged 1 shipping fee.
Available countries outside of the USA: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the UK.

For updates on the organizations you can follow CCB on Instagram and Facebook and N/a'an ku sê

Joris at CCBjpg
This is Joris' 8th year fundraising to help save cheetahs living in the wild! Cheetahs have been his favorite animal as long as he can remember. When he read about the very real possibility that cheetahs might become extinct in his lifetime, he was very distraught and asked how he can help to prevent that from happening. He was 6 years old at that time.

Ever since, Joris and his mom, Carine, have been fundraising to try to help the cheetahs. They have an online fundraiser, have run many lemonade stands, wrote to businesses for support, sold flowers and held rollerskating parties. So far, they have raised well over $27,000!

Naankuse logopng
N/a'an ku sê is a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia that cares for injured and orphaned wildlife, with the ultimate goal to re-release them in the wild. They also have research sites and support local San bushman communities through a clinic, school and work opportunities. Joris visited here for the first time in 2014 and has gone back every summer to volunteer.

CCB logopng
Cheetah Conservation Botswana aims to preserve Botswana's cheetah population through scientific research, community outreach and environmental education, working with rural communities to promote coexistence with Botswana’s rich diversity of carnivore species. Joris was lucky enough to visit them this past summer and was really impressed with work they're doing there!

One of the organizations' shared efforts that has been highly successful is talking to local farmers and helping them come up with better solutions other than shooting the predators (cheetahs, leopards, lions, wild dogs and hyenas). This is called human-wildlife mitigation. It's very important because every farmer they get to agree to not shoot cheetahs helps the animals to survive and have a larger safe-zone to exist.

Joris feels strongly about saving cheetahs and spends his summer vacations volunteering at N/a'an ku sê. He helps clean enclosures, prepare food and feed the animals and helps with research efforts - an important part of ultimate species' survival.

Joris wants to become a wildlife biologist or researcher when he grows up. He is confident that he can help contribute to cheetahs' survival. Will you help too?

In October Joris attended the Wildlife Conservation Network fall expo in San Francisco. He helped represent N/a'an ku sê there for the first time and loved getting to know conservationists from all over the world. An absolute (life) highlight was meeting Jane Goodall there, his ultimate hero!

Volunteered at naan kuse in 2018. Great organisation, sad to see the finding source dry up for a bit...
