Children’s Autism Foundation Christmas Fundraiser

Children’s Autism Foundation (CAF) is dedicated to providing therapeutic, educational, and financial support for families and individuals across the spectrum. We do this through advocacy, support, and increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

We are committed to:
Increasing global understanding & acceptance of people with autism
Increasing early childhood screening & timely interventions through information and education
Providing resources for the transition to adulthood
Ensuring access to services throughout the lifespan

Our local community is dearly important to us, but at CAF, we know that ASD affects individuals next door and globally. It is equally important to support those overseas who have less resources and support.

We have been proud to support the Hope & Faith Orphanage in Kenya, and we'd love to share a little about them. They take in individuals with special needs from around the country, often rescuing them from abusive situations. In Kenya, there isn't anywhere else for authorities to take special needs children when found, so they drop them at Hope & Faith. The orphanage is always past its capacity, as it never turns someone away. This means there are not enough beds, rooms, bathrooms, etc. There is not even a true kitchen. Despite all of these obstacles, the staff at Hope & Faith still manages to care for so many.

Transportation is a significant issue for the medically complex children in the home. There have been too many times when unreliable transportation to a medical facility has resulted in the loss of a young life. This devastates all of us at CAF. We desperately want to support them in any way possible, through traditional donations and assisting in building better facilities. Every child deserves adequate food, a bed, and a place to bathe, regardless of any developmental disability.

Recently, Kenya was struck by deadly flooding. While those at the orphanage were safe, their roads were destroyed. CAF sent almost $3000 to assist in reconstruction, but they still need more. We are working to donate clothing, personal care items, food, and more in the coming months. Your support will greatly help our effort to ensure the staff at Hope & Faith have everything they need to care for their children.
