Saving one animal won’t change the world but it will change the world for that one animal.

Chintimini Wildlife Center provides care for injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of returning them to their natural habitat, and fosters a connection between people and wildlife through education. Chintimini is home to a wildlife rehabilitation clinic, a raptor conservation program and a youth education program – all located right outside Corvallis, Oregon. The wildlife rehabilitation clinic admits injured and orphaned native wildlife 7 days per week and 365 days per year and has provided care for over 1,600 patients so far this year. The raptor conservation program is home to 10 Raptor Ambassadors, birds of prey who are unreleasable back into the wild due to extensive injuries or other complications. These Raptor Ambassadors are the backbone of our education program, in which guests get an up-close look at these fierce hunters and the threats their species face in the wild. It costs on average $100 to treat each wildlife patient and over $1000 to feed, house and care for each raptor ambassador. Both programs rely on funds raised via donations, merchandise sales, grants, and special-event fundraisers to pay for their daily operations.
