About this campaign

The CHMS Panther Band is growing, and many of our students rely on school-owned instruments that are aging or in need of repair. To keep our program strong and ensure every student can fully participate, we need updated instruments, music, and supplies.

Your purchase helps us:

Repair and replace school-owned instruments

Purchase new sheet music for concerts and festivals

Provide essential supplies (reeds, sticks, valve oil, percussion equipment)

Create opportunities for students to attend honor bands, clinics, and performances

We must sell at least 50 hoodies to reach our goal and make a meaningful impact this year. Whether you’re a parent, student, alumni, or community supporter, wearing this hoodie proudly says: “I believe in our band, our students, and the power of music!” Thank you for supporting our young musicians and helping us keep music thriving at CHMS!

The Chapel Hill Middle School Band has been a proud part of our community since 1992, consistently earning Superior ratings under every head director. As a Title I school, we serve a diverse and talented group of young musicians who rely on our program for high-quality musical training and opportunities to grow.

For many students, band is more than a class—it’s where they find confidence, community, and a pathway to success. Our students go on to excel in high school bands, honor ensembles, college programs, and academic achievements beyond music.

By supporting this “I My Band” hoodie fundraiser, you help us continue a legacy of excellence and ensure that every student—regardless of financial circumstances—has access to instruments, music, and enriching musical experiences.
