About this campaign

The first edition of the first volume of The Classic was released in 1984. This year, we are publishing the fortieth volume of The Classic and will be celebrating forty years of excellence in student journalism -- along with the fortieth anniversary of Townsend Harris High School's revival -- between now and December. Please support The Classic and help kick off another forty years of quality work.

These funds will go towards supporting the student journalists of Townsend Harris High School. With over two hundred students working for The Classic this year, we are publishing more than ever: our website publishes daily, we create original content for social media, and our YouTube channel regularly publishes original video content. We also publish a sister publication, The Classic Critic, and we host multiple podcasts. Given all of this, The Classic needs funds for print papers, trips, events, web hosting, technology, and more.
