About this campaign

ClayHouston would like to introduce the recent work of our newly formed Equity, Inclusion, and Access (EIA) Committee. The Committee was formed in July 2020 as a response to recent police violence against Black people. We are committed to our ongoing efforts in order to cultivate greater diversity and access in the field of ceramics. Our mission is working to bridge the gap between clay and under-represented communities in Houston while co-creating opportunities to provide inclusive programming and engagement, regardless of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go directly back to support our ongoing efforts including our annual Award for Texas BIPOC Ceramic Artists and an annual donation to Houston Independent School District by providing art supplies to under-resourced schools.
