About this campaign

The California Music Educators Association (CMEA) is a Federated unit of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). California Music Educators Association includes nine geographical sections. Each CMEA Section provides unique events for music educators and music students who live within their area. CMEA members are automatically a member of their CMEA Section. The Southern Border Section serves all San Diego Counties, Chula Vista, and Imperial Counties. Membership is open to all music educators working in public and private schools, colleges, and universities in California. This fundraiser is to help raise monies to provide professional development for educators, conferences, festivals, concerts, workshops and award ceremonies for all aspiring music educators, musicians, and performers.

The CMEA Southern Border Section has a vision for all students to be provided with equitable access to music education that embraces diversity and inclusion from Preschool to Grades 12. Our mission is to embrace all voices and perspectives, to model Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion, and to ensure transparency in communication and to create collaborative opportunities for all.
