Colorful Conversations

While 2020 has had its share of challenges, it can’t keep us down! Wesley Prep’s 4th grade class is making big plans for this school year. As you may know, 4th graders have been building common ground in our community over the past few years. They have collaborated with new groups of friends on everything from poetry to cookbooks and alphabet books, and they have raised a cumulative $40,000 donated to some of our favorite local non-profits such as Austin Street Center, Bonton Farms, Café Momentum, and Heart House. This year, our 4th graders won’t be able to meet with new friends in person, but that won’t stop them from expanding their circle of common ground! Building community connections is more important now than ever before, so they’ve reimagined a way to cultivate common ground...They will be launching a PODCAST called Colorful Conversations! Each week 4th graders will invite friends, old and new, into conversations about everything under the sun. If you are feeling blue or seeing red, Colorful Conversations is the podcast for you. Listen to our 4th graders chat with their guests, and you’ll be tickled pink! They will help you find the silver linings and golden treasures hidden in each moment. Now, more than ever, we need more joy, hope and more connection with each other. Our children can remind us how to find these things in everyday moments. Episodes will launch later this year, but for now, you can help us get started by purchasing some of our merch! Thank you for supporting these young change makers!
