Plant Kindness. Watch It Grow.

Every shirt you buy helps build The Community Kindness Garden — a space taking root at the entrance of the Boyne District Library's community room in Boyne City. Painted rocks and local artwork, all created to remind anyone who walks by that they matter.

The garden is a project of Surf the Earth Mental Health Community, and your purchase directly funds building the space, ongoing maintenance and upkeep, and continued community programming. Every shirt is a little patch of kindness out in the world — sparking conversations, planting hope in places we'll never see, and reminding someone they're not alone.

As Megan Murphy, founder of The Kindness Rocks Project, reminds us:
"one message at just the right moment can change someone's entire outlook."

That's the whole idea. One shirt, one rock, one kind word at a time — that's how we shred the stigma and grow something beautiful together.

Surf the Earth Mental Health Community is a nonprofit based in Boyne City, Michigan, working to break the stigma around mental illness and build a community where no one walks through hard times alone. We started in honor of Ali Patrick, whose kindness ripples onward through this work.

We believe healing happens in connection — in conversations, in creativity, and in the small moments that remind someone they matter. That's why we host Mind Aligned Meetups, rock-painting events, and our annual Shred the Stigma event. Every shirt you buy helps us keep showing up for our community — building spaces, hosting events, and carrying Ali's kindness forward.
