About this campaign
Want to support our students building a new mascot costume for the University of Illinois? Want to rep a BRIGHT ORANGE kingfisher shirt with the original logo design?
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to cover the costs of purchasing materials to BUILD our very own mascot! 16 years is long enough! Once complete, we hope to have our very own Courtside Kingfisher!

As you know, University of Illinois students have partnered with many state and national organizations to align our mission and spread awareness of our efforts, including the Mascot Hall of Fame, Chicago Tribune, Audubon Society, American Birding Association, American Indian Center of Chicago, National Congress of American Indians, Association on American Indian Affairs, and the National Indian Education Association.
We are proud to annou nce that we've partnered with the University of Illinois College of Fine and Applied Arts Costume & Theatre Dept. and a few students in the Siebel Center for Design to create—for the first time ever—a Belted Kingfisher mascot!!
