Cover Your Snooter!

We currently have 47 dogs in our care. Of that half are seniors. We take in bassets and basset mixes from several states. We currently have dogs from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, NJ, Pa, Delaware and NY. Monthly medications, standard vaccines, general vet care, spay and neuter, dental's and food can cost as much as $1000 per dog depending on the condition of the dog on intake. 85% of the dogs we take in from other states are heartworm-positive. That adds extra cost and time in foster while getting treated. None of our dogs are long-term boarded. All reside in wonderful, loving foster homes.

We currently have many medical cases:
Guido and Levi are in liver failure.
Google (mix) needs his cataracts removed.
Lady Grace (mix) is anemic with a grade 5 heart murmur and heavy heart worms,
Neera is a 3 legged mix who has hurt one of her 3 legs. She is under treatment and currently getting around on 2 legs. She is happy and full of life.
Bo (mix) at the age of 17 or older had to have his tail removed.
Dorothy and Sophia are under treatment for glaucoma and corneal edema.
Fonzie (Mix) needed to have an external fixator installed in his shoulder bone to repair a fracture on his from shoulder.
Flash has long term chronic ear conditions.
Woody was attacked by a dog, treated for heavy heart worms and needed a huge tumor removed from his back

These are just a few of the current challenges we are experiencing. We have continued to take dogs from wherever we are needed during this difficult time. Please help us to continue to help these sweet dogs get healthy and and then find their furever families!
