About this campaign
Help us reach our goal of $10,000 to create a named scholarship in memory of H. McRoy Skipper, Jr, CPA.
So far, the South Carolina Association of CPAs has raised $2,420 towards creating a named scholarship in honor of past SCACPA President McRoy Skipper. To help reach our goal of $10,000, we have re-opened our CPA's Give T-shirt fundraiser. All funds raised will go directly to the scholarship. Please help us carry on the memory and generosity of McRoy with a t-shirt purchase or straight donation. If you have questions, please contact communications@scacpa.org or call 803.791.4181.
McRoy and his beloved wife, Jo, were taken from us too soon. Both died in a tragic multi-vehicle traffic accident this past August. Skipper, 74, was a partner at WebsterRogers and energetically served the CPA community for more than 40 years. Jo, 73, was a deacon at Lakewood Baptist Church and part-owner of Regal Printing. The Skippers had been married for 54 years.
McRoy was President of the SCACPA Board of Directors in 1995 and has been lauded by the Association with the Distinguished Public Service Award (1995), Service to the Profession Award (2005) and was named among “100 Influential People in Accounting” during SCACPA’s 2015 centennial year.
