About this campaign
As most of you know, my dad was recently diagnosed with grade 4 brain cancer. There has not been one negative word come out of his mouth this entire time and God has reminded us day in and day out that he will fight for us. Exodus 14:14 and encouraging words from family and friends have been keeping us strong. My dad hates asking people for help but I know he can't do this on his own. I thought with him being out of work for procedures as well as chemo and radiation starting soon, that selling these awesome tee's would be a great way of raising money for him to pay all the medical expenses he has! He will be getting more than 50% profit from these tee shirts!!! How awesome is that!!!
On 9/11/14, Donna called me with some scary news that dad had been
rushed to the ER due to seizures while on the road. We immediately got tickets
to fly to him. We couldn't stand the thought of him being there by himself. We
finally landed in Pensacola, Fl. As soon as we landed, we got a call from dad
saying that they had found a brain tumor on one of his scans. Our whole
world was flipped upside down, there were so many thoughts running through our
brains and so many things it could be. We spent a couple days in FL then
finalllly returned home. After we got home, we were immediately set up
with a awesome neurosurgeon- thanks to our great friend Meghan Norris. He got
us in a few days later for the resection of dads tumor. Praying the entire
time up to surgery day that whatever this was, please don't be a Glioblastoma..
Dr. Schlosser was sorry to inform us that it was, in fact a Glioblastoma. Since
the surgery Dad has been doing fantastic, he had brain surgery on Wednesday and
was out eating lunch with us by Friday. And we all know that he jumped at the
first opportunity to get in a deer stand!! We are thankful for everyday that we
get to spend with him! Chemo and Radiation are scheduled to start Nov. 3rd, he
will do that for 6 weeks then 1 week a month for 12-16 months! All the Doctors
we've talked to have very high hopes for this amazing man we all love! All we
need is a little help from y'all!! Thank you you guys so much are all the
prayers and encouraging words! {"The Lord with fight for you, you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14}
