About this campaign
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Dani Bitout & I am from Chicago, IL. I am a very active individual of many passions & talents including dance, choreography, ninja warrior, aerial arts, climbing, standup paddleboarding, music... & probably much much more.
On February 22, two days before my 28th birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma - a type of cancer that causes white blood cells to grow out of control, causing swollen lymph nodes & growths throughout the body. I have been undergoing ABVD (a chemotherapy combination of drugs that are injected & dripped into my bloodstream through a mediport) for three months & if everything stays on track, I only have three more months to go... halfway done! The aggressive nature of the chemo is expected to cause several different types of side effects; however, I am very grateful to say that my side effects have been quite mild up to this point.
I live a very active lifestyle, so it has been a very tough adjustment to not be able to do all of the things I love to do, but all of the words of affirmation, gifts & everything else I have received through various outlets has helped me immensely during this challenging time in my life. I appreciate you all & I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your ongoing support! <3
