About this campaign

Today, Doberman owners live in fear of DCM -- a deadly genetic heart disease that ends the lives of MOST Dobermans far too early, far too often.

Vets and researchers tell us that the Gold Standard of cardio screening is annual Holtering of our Dobermans (together with annual echocardiograms). And researchers want access to cardiac data from annual Holter monitoring of our dogs. But Holtering our dogs regulary is expensive.

The DDP is working to address both concerns. We are establishing a new Holter Program where DDP participants can Holter their dogs at a reduced cost AND where their dog's cardiac data will be shared effortlessly with researchers.

100% of the proceeds will be used to support the DDP Holter Program -- to buy Holter Monitor equipment and provide the data collected to researchers working to find answers to the genetic diseases ending too many Doberman lives much too early.

Donate $20 to help establish the DDP's Holter Monitor Program and get a Cool T-Shirt (and a tax-deduction).

The Doberman Diversity Project is a global non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization working to DNA test Dobermans from across the globe to build a repository of Doberman genomic data (and with the new Holter program, cardio data), and share all of that information with universities and research projects across the world.

Participants test their dogs for a bargain, saving hundreds of dollars while effortlessly supporting research. Their dogs are tested with the highest-definition DNA test, and receive a full panel of genetic test results [e.g., DM, vWD1, PDK4/DCM1, GPT, and MDR1, coat colors (black, brown and dilute)], including a revolutionary Genetic COI, and access to a free virtual breeding tool.

It's a win-win-win. Let's work together to ensure that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren know the Doberman -- and not just from photos and stories.

Your $20 contribution is 100% tax-deductible if you do not choose to receive a t-shirt. If you'd like a t-shirt, we'd LOVE to send you one. Getting a t-shirt lowers the amount you can write off as a charitable donation to $10 but your $20 contribution to this project will still make a real difference. Thank you for your support!
