About this campaign
Morgan Bolt, 23, is fighting a rare form of soft tissue sarcoma- DSRCT. This aggressive cancer requires an aggressive treatment. He has named his tumor(s) "Prometheus" and we have named this fight he is waging "The Downfall of Prometheus." By wearing these T-shirts we can all show our support for Morgan, and be reminded to think of him on the rough days. Any procedes raised will go to help Morgan with his expenses that are accrued from food and transportation in new York City.
Morgan was diagnosed with DSRCT in November of 2014. It is such a rare cancer that there are only two centers in the US that are even remotely familiar with it. We chose to pack up all of our things and now we live partly in Corning, NY with his parents and partly at the Ronald McDonald House in NYC. Morgan receives treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. This cancer requires a cocktail of chemo, surgeries, radiation and any other relevant clinical trial to treat it. Morgan already has most of his chemo under his belt and one surgery. After this last surgery, I (Christina) thought that it might be encouraging if next time he has an important event (such as surgery, beginning of a new phase of treatment, etc) we could all wear a shirt that showed we support Morgan in his fight. We have already been so blessed by the support of family and friends, and think this could be an additional, fun way that we can all show our love and support of Morgan. Ordering will be open until April 27th, and the shirts should have plenty of time to ship so that we could all wear them on his surgery day (possibly May 21st or 28th).
