About this campaign

The Professional Society of Drone Journalists needs funding to continue advocating for drone journalists worldwide. Help us keep "the lights on" at DroneJournalism.org, while at the same time increasing awareness and safety of RPAS/UAV/drone operators by wearing this vest.

Established in 2011, PSJD fosters the development and safe operation of unmanned vehicles for journalistic purposes; furthers the adoption of unmanned vehicles by the press through education, outreach, and promotion; and advocates freedom of responsible and ethical use of unmanned vehicles by journalists. Currently our roster lists more than 300 journalists, educators, engineers, and pilots from more than 35 countries.

In order to continue the outreach and services we provide individually, and through our website DroneJournalism.org, we are selling PSDJ-branded items. All proceeds will go to website hosting, domain fees, and continued outreach and advocacy.

We believe this high-visibility vest not only will support our mission, but also will provide our members and supporters with much-needed visibility in the field during drone operations. In addition, we hope this item will help improve the public opinion of drone journalists as responsible professionals who wish to keep the public alert of their news-gathering activities.

Please note that at this time, hi-vis vests can only be sent to the United States and Canada. We are sorry for any inconvenience, and are working to ensure our next round of merchandise can be sent to supporters and operators all over the globe.
