We started eating ice cream for breakfast to support or sons friend who was battling Leukemia. This will be our 7th year. We now have a public event where we raise awareness for Childhood Cancer. We celebrate the survivors. We support the fighters. We remember those that have passed. We also raise money for a local charity that supports children with cancer and their families. This year we are donating all funds raised to the love like crazy foundation!

What is the love like crazy foundation? A local foundation that was started to help families with medically fragile children with things like gas, groceries, help during the holidays, rent, or other bills that pile up while trying to care for a medically complex child. This foundation also helps families through bereavement. This includes funeral arrangements, expenses, physical and mental support as they navigate child loss. This foundation was started after the loss of Ellie Walton. A little girl who brightened the lives of everyone she met! Ellie’s mom saw a need in the community, when hospice wasn’t available to children in her area. She had to figure out how to care for, plan, and handle childloss without help. Ellies mom has helped many families with funeral arrangements and expenses, often joining them and navigating them through one of the hardest moments in their lives.
