About this campaign

Faith has some exciting opportunities to travel this year to compete in adaptive surfing!! From Oahu (twice), to California (twice), and possibly Europe and Japan!!!!! But traveling isn’t free so we’ve created another T-shirt fundraiser since the last one was so successful!!

Faith Lennox is a young surfer from Southern California who now lives on the island of Maui, HI. Faith was born in 2007 with a crush injury to her left hand and forearm called compartment syndrome. She was only the 25th reported case of neonatal compartment syndrome and despite doctors’ attempts to save her hand, her bones broke due to the lack of circulation and would not heal so when she was 9 months old her parents were told that amputation was the only option. Within a couple weeks of her amputation she was crawling, and since then has proven to be unstoppable.

Faith began surfing when she was 5 years old and began competing after her family moved to Maui in 2015. In 2018 she was introduced to adaptive surfing and joined the Hawaii Adaptive Surf Team. She placed third in her first ever adaptive competition, and has since placed second and first in other events. Faith continues to surf in both adaptive and non-adaptive surfing and aspires to be a professional surfer as well as hopefully one day a Paralympic Surfer!
