About this campaign

Overdose deaths in the USA soared to a record 93,000 last year in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, nearly a 30% increase from 2019. The FED UP! Coalition is organized to send a single, unified message to the Federal Government, demanding action to end this major public health crisis. Our concept is simple. There are countless organizations and individuals, including parents and friends of lost loved ones, state coalitions, nonprofits, and large corporations, all insisting that the Federal Government take immediate and sustained action to end America’s opioid addiction epidemic.

The opioid epidemic is having a catastrophic impact on families and communities, and is placing tremendous strain on our healthcare system and businesses as well as all levels of governments. The FED UP! Coalition provides a platform to amplify our messages into a single, unified effort to hold the Federal Government accountable. The FED UP! Coalition does not, and never will, accept funds from pharmaceutical companies or the trade organizations lobbying on their behalf. FED UP! is known for hosting and organizing annual opioid rallies in Washington D.C. and across the country. International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global event held on August 31st each year with the purpose to raise awareness of overdoses, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends. Once again this year, FED UP! is spearheading, supporting and promoting dozens of local rallies in communities throughout the country.

Please buy a bunch of these commemorative, two-sided 2021 IOAD/FED UP! t-shirts for your local event or purchase a t-shirt just for yourself. Orders must be submitted via Custom Ink's website by August 4th and t-shirts are expected to be delivered no later than August 20th. All proceeds benefit the non-profit FED UP! Coalition and help us carry out our mission to call for immediate, comprehensive and sustained Federal action to end the opioid addiction epidemic. Thank you for your support!

I work as a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and I am tired of losing my clients and attending funerals. So many good people have succumbed to this epidemic and it needs to end.

My son Adam died of a heroin OD in Mesa, AZ. 2/17/16. He was forced out of treatment when his insurance ran out. He was dead less than 18 hours later. Opioid OD’s continue at epidemic rates. We must do more. Too many families are destroyed!!!
