About this campaign

Stanley is the most amazing, fabulous, silly, affectionate, stinky, mastiff mix EVER and he needs us to heal

10527968_10204519024837884_1192218096_njpgStanley came to us June 25 from a local kill shelter. He was slated to be euthanized because of his horrible condition. Denise was contacted by an employee there begging to take him. She originally said no, FFD couldn't afford him and they weren't taking in more dogs. She kept looking at his photo, those eyes, that itchy skin. She called the dad and that was that. Stanley was picked up the next morning. FFD tries to rescue someone in severe need whenever a major FFD player is adopted, Gracie had just recently left. Stanley's time had come.

Denise was hoping not to have to beg for help with Stanley. Afterall. she has had much worse. Yeast, bacteria, low thyroid...easy enough right? WRONG. Stanley isn't healing, he isn't improving at all. Today he went back to Dr Kidd. She changed the entire protocol. He is now on three new medications. Denise is changing up and adding supplements, his food is changing, his shampoo is changing, time for more aggressive measures.

With the skin and thyroid issues, Stanley also has some sort of tumors growing on his feet. We don't want to mess with them yet because that can severely aggitate his skin. He has very itchy knots under every toenail causing him to chew his toenails completely off. Dr Kidd believes this is from severe, long term inflammation. He is currently 109 lbs, should be about 150 lbs 10524479_10204519023837859_351850922_njpg

Stanley is heartworm negative, neutered, house broken, super sweet. He was obviously a loved dog at some point. He loves being in the house, being outside makes him unhappy. He goes out to do what he has to do and that is that.

Stanley is a great dog, he will heal in time. For now, we are feeding him raw food and Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Fish and Sweet Potato. He is on many supplements including msm, coconut oil, spirulina a day. He gets three medications. He gets apple cider vinegar rinses and also eats it in his food. This is going to take time, patience, and funding for vetting and supplies. We appreciate all of the help.

There is just something about Stanley. Those eyes just got to me. I am praying he will fully recover. I wish I could help every poor animal out there, that needs help!
