In 2020, Justin and his family faced an unexpected challenge—his diagnosis of astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer. As he underwent surgery and treatment, his wife, Amanda, and their three children—Hayden, Owen, and Gwendolynn—stood by him, offering unwavering love and support. Their family bond carried them through the ups and downs, turning moments of uncertainty into reflections of resilience. Over the years, Justin has battled with strength and determination to create lasting memories with his loved ones. Then, in 2025, another obstacle arose—a new mass requiring surgery once more. As he prepares for this next procedure on May 28th, his courage remains steadfast. Surrounded by Amanda and their children, Justin steps forward into this chapter, bolstered by the deep love of his family and the hope that has carried them through every challenge. Justin had a follow-up appointment with his oncologist 6/3/2025. They went over the biopsy results and established a game plan. The biopsy showed that the brain tumor has progressed to a grade 4 astrocytoma. He will go for an MRI next week to determine how successful the surgery was as far as how much was successfully removed. It will also give the doctor a good starting point before chemo and radiation begin.
