The Vision:
That slogan, "be more you not less you," is the spirit of valuing art and creativity as a fundamental right.

The Mission:
Transforming a resort community like the Lake Geneva area from treating art and musicians as mere ancillary entertainment to becoming a vibrant center for unique and original talent requires a fundamental shift in perception and investment. Currently, creativity may be viewed as pleasant background noise for tourism; however, by actively investing in dedicated venues, artist-in-residence programs, and public art installations that feature original, non-commercial work, the community signals that authentic artistic expression is not a secondary amenity but a primary cultural asset. This transformation not only enriches the local identity but also attracts a discerning visitor base that values cultural depth and unique experiences, establishing the area as a destination known for its genuine artistic scene, where local talent is both celebrated and protected.

About FlyingSquirrels.art
The name Flying Squirrels.art is a metaphor for the philosophy of the studio:

The Squirrel (The Energy):
It represents energy often labeled as distraction or neurodivergence—the tendency to "get distracted" or have an intense, unique focus. The studio affirms this energy, seeing it as a superpower waiting for the right container.

The Flying (The Mastery):
It represents the outcome—the state of mastery, purpose, and impact achieved when that unique energy is channeled.

The Process:
Original art and creativity is the container used to channel this "squirrel energy" into Focused Flow, allowing people to create something permanent and beautiful.

The Goal in Lake Geneva:
The goal is to use the Flying Squirrels model as a catalyst to reform and pivot the Lake Geneva resort community into a genuine hub for original creative talent (art and music) while addressing serious local social issues.

Empowering the Workforce:
Better facilitating life for artists, musicians, and hospitality workers who are often treated as "ancillary" to the tourist economy.

Community Connection:
We are pursuing the protection of authentic art and creativity because, alongside the foundational needs of food and community, they represent the highest fulfillment on Maslow's hierarchy, ascending toward true happiness. While food sustains the body and community provides belonging, original music and creative expression nourish the soul and intellect, tapping into the deepest human need to create, appreciate, and find meaning. By safeguarding the space for unique talent, we are not just supporting artists; we are ensuring the availability of these powerful, essential elements—the creative oxygen—that elevate a community's quality of life beyond mere survival and comfort into a realm of genuine cultural richness and profound joy.

Collaboration:
Working with local businesses and talent to get art and music more central to the community's identity.
