About this campaign

FOCUS Ministries is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization offering hope, encouragement, support, education, spiritual direction, and assistance to teens, women, and families who experiene domestic violence, destructive relationships, separation, or divorce. Through counseling, education, training, support groups,and tangible resources we are dedicated to helping others
FOCUS’ services are free to those they serve. With State agencies cutting down on services or closing altogether, more women are turning to FOCUS for assistance. FOCUS not only serves women locally, but nationally and internationally as well. For over 20 years, FOCUS has been a refuge for many women when they had nowhere to turn and no one they can trust.

FOCUS is also passionate about educating people and churches how to help women and children caught in Domestic Violence. FOCUS has been contacted by people worldwide wanting to attend the trainings that are offered. Because of travel expenses, they are not able to attend. FOCUS would like to be able to offer the courses online but this requires funds. Money is needed to create videos of the trainings and in addition pay the monthly webinar service fees to make the trainings available to anyone online.

There is an evil war against our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, cousins, friends and even our daughters. This evil war is called ‘Domestic Violence’ and it comes in physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, financial and spiritual forms. You may know of someone that has gone through this war, is going through this war in their current relationship or will eventually find themselves in this evil war. This war tears human souls from the core of their being. The woman they once were can hardly be recognized. They may experience deep depression, feel they are worthless, they lose their self-respect and their ability to make better choices becomes a farfetched goal. These women live in helplessness and hopelessness.
