About this campaign
We are getting ready to travel to China and bring our sweet 16 month old daughter home. Our agency has told us we will be traveling to China sometime between mid-April and early May. Prior to leaving, we have approximately $20,000 in expenses that we have yet to pay (we have already paid well over $10,000). Adoption is not for the faint of heart and yet we know we have been called to take this step! Every penny we earn from t-shirt sales will go towards our adoption costs. We are so excited to bring this sweet little girl from China home. In January, we received the referral for this 16 month old and after consulting withountless doctors and surgeons, we decided to take the leap and say yes. Since then, it has been a whirlwind. Our 3 year old son is very excited to have a little sister and Jeff and I are very excited to be parents to two kiddos. This sweet little girl has severe heart disease. She has already had open heart surgery in China and our hope is that that surgery was successful. If it was, she will need to be under the care of a cardiologist for the rest of her life and will need future surgeries on her valves. If it was not successful or if she has additional complications, she will need major surgery as soon as she comes home. While the unknowns can be overwhelming at times, we are encouraged to see pictures of her darling face with pink cheeks and we know that whatever hurdles we are faced with, God will get us through them.
