About this campaign

Tux was found late at night, on the side of the road with a catastrophic injury to his front right leg. Eileen, from Browndog Farm Texas, and the farm’s amazing vet, Dr. Jonathan Cohen of JLC Veterinary Services in Elgin, TX, worked through the night to stabilize Tux. His leg was damaged beyond repair, and he underwent surgery to amputate the next evening. What was assumed to be a vehicle injury seemed more likely to be a gunshot wound when examined more closely. Tux is bright and happy, and adjusting well to life on three limbs. Help support Tux’s recovery, and the work Browndog Farm Texas does, caring for animals and providing sanctuary to the horses, donkeys, ponies, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats who call the farm home.

Browndog Farm Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit Rescue/Sanctuary farm in Central Texas. With a focus on rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary care, and community education, Browndog Farm strives the improve the lives of people and animals. Browndog Farm is home to horses, ponies, donkeys, a mini-mule, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats, all who have joined the farm and are living happy lives, free of the abuse and neglect they were rescued from.
