About this campaign

We are volunteering to raise money to support 4 Paws for Ability, Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides service dogs to children with disabilities and certain medical conditions, including a diabetes alert dog for our daughter, Caroline. Caroline and her twin sister, Ellie, designed these tshirts themselves.

Amazingly enough, service dogs can be trained to detect blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes, and alert them when their sugar is outside of a healthy range. 4 Paws for Ability is an organization that provides service dogs to children with various types of disabilities and medical conditions, and they will raise and train a diabetes alert dog to support Caroline.

Here is an excerpt from Caroline's application letter: "I've had type 1 diabetes for over three years now, but I'm still scared of sleeping and going really low at night. Sadly, I can't tell when I have high blood sugar, and sometimes I don't wake up in the middle of the night when my level is really high. I think it would be good for me to have a diabetic alert dog because it would give me independence, responsibility, and peace of mind. I think it will also help me keep my blood sugar at a stable level."

Please join us in raising money to support 4 Paws For Ability, Inc. We look forward to having a loving, committedcompanion to help Caroline and keep her safe, but before we can start training with a dog we must raise $15,000 --not even the entire amount it coststhe agency to raise and train one of these special canines. If you can help us, please purchase a tshirt on this site or makea tax-deductible donation. You can also donate directly on4 Paws' Donation Page athttp://4pawsforability.org/donate-now,or mail a check with Caroline’s name on the memo line to: 4 Paws for Ability In Honor of Caroline Kahle, 253 Dayton Ave., Xenia, OH 45385
