~~~ Please feel free to join us!! ~~~ FUTURE EVENTS: We are committed to hosting more and more Free Hugsgatherings!The Smithsonian National Mall gathering on May 17, 2015 commences a grassroots movement in the United States to spread and to encourage more and more peace, love and understanding. In addition to May 17th , there will be a series ofFree Hugs gatherings at the National Mall as follows: •the 2nd Sunday of nearly every month beginning in June (rain dates the 3rd Sunday) •July 4th, 2015 (Independence Day) •October 25th, 2015 (Marine Corps Marathon) •July 4th, 2016(Independence Day) •October 30th , 2016 (Marine Corps Marathon) • Perhaps more... We expect that otherFree Hugsgatherings will appear in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Frederick, Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, Reston, etc. at other venues and events (eg. 10K races/marathons, outdoor concerts, Baltimore harbor, etc.). We lovingly and happily encourage people to put on similar events throughout the year. People living in the Greater Washington, DC - Baltimore Region are welcome to place events on this website.
