About this campaign

MVC is a special place with a ton of special needs. One of those needs is upkeep, especially in the summer, when invasive vegetation takes over the property. Help us stop the spread of the Green Inferno this summer by purchasing one of our exclusive t-shirts. Not only do you get this absolutely incredible t-shirt designed my MVC volunteer, Steph Weinger, but your donation also helps purchase vital supplies for our volunteers, including water, bug spray, gasoline for our mowers, and new batteries for our weed wackers.

Established in 1856, Mount Vernon Cemetery has been closed to the public for well over a decade. Thanks to the efforts of concerned Philadelphians, it was placed under court appointed conservatorship in 2021. Since March 2022 volunteers have been working tirelessly to try and restore it to its former glory through organized cleanups.
