Fundraiser for Brenda Hicks Leukemia Journey.

Brenda fell in September and hurt her back. Hearing from many doctors that she was fine and that nothing further could be done other than pain management she was on bed rest for over a month. In October 3 days after her and Dennis wedding anniversary she was riddle with so much pain she could do nothing and the ambulance was called. They were unable to help and Dennis decided to take her to Chapel Hill to find out why her back was not healing and becoming unbearable. It was then that she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and leukemia of her blood and bones. This is why her back was not healing from a small slip. She stayed in the hospital for nearly a month and has had to be isolated from nearly everyone. She has had in home care and is going back and forth to Chapel Hill and Hillsboro multiple time a week with Dennis being her primary care giver and therefore missing a lot of work. We want to find a way to help support them through this journey.
