Raising Raising money for Gift of Life and the Donor Dash is deeply personal to our family. At just 17 months old, our daughter, Dallas, was taken from us due to a tragic accident. For four days, she fought with everything she had. When we were told her injuries were irreversible and her body was beginning to shut down, our world came to a standstill.
In the midst of unimaginable pain and heartbreak, my wife and I were faced with the hardest decision parents could ever make. But we knew Dallas. She was pure light, kindness, and love. Even in our darkest moment, her gentle spirit helped guide us to a decision rooted in who she was.
By choosing organ donation, Dallas became a hero. Through her gift, families were given hope, time, and a future—something we were losing. While we could not save our daughter, Dallas helped save others, sparing families from experiencing the same loss we now carry every day.
