GHNO Convivium 2024

What is a “Convivium”? The word itself means ‘living together’ and is related to the spirit of a symposium in that it is a communal feast. In this sense, The GHNO Convivium is a feast of sorts, wherein we aim to feed our human spirit with those things that seek the Beautiful in their doing and making, since, as Stratford Caldecott reminds us, “through doing and making, through poesis, the house of the soul is built.”

The day will feature performances by our extracurricular choirs; student reproductions of Shakespearean scenes, and recitations of poetry; and a showing of students’ works of art. We are also delighted to welcome the UIW Cardinal Singers as our featured guest performers this year! Additionally, various workshops will be open to the community throughout the day, focusing on topics such as sketching and drawing, acting fundamentals, and shape-note singing.

There will of course be real food available for purchase throughout the afternoon – courtesy of Benjie’s Munch Food Truck–You are welcome to stay for all of the events or come and go as you please.
