About this campaign
Give 60 For #60
"Live Like Everyday Is Game Day"
Give 60 for #60 was created to foster sportsmanship, community service, leadership, kindness, dedication, heart and integrity. These values were inspired from the life of Jake Anderson who wore the #60 while playing lacrosse for the Orono Spartans. Jake embodied a thirst for life and was always striving for self-improvement. In his efforts, he lifted up all of those around him. Jake was an outstanding leader and role model both on the lacrosse field and in the community. He truly lived life to the fullest, never made excuses and worked hard in every aspect of his life.
The Give 60 for #60 foundation has been developed to continue to foster the values that Jake lived. Our goal is to promote community service, sportsmanship, leadership, kindness, dedication, heart and integrity and to carry on the legacy of Jake in hopes of making a positive impact on many other young adults. We will honor him on the athletic field, we will honor him in our volunteering and servitude and as Jake did on the lacrosse field, We will strive to give 60 minutes of effort on the lacrosse field and 60 minutes of service a week in spirit of #60.
Our message is spread far and wide. Our goal is to demand more of ourselves for 60 minutes a week in honor of someone who gave so much. Those 60 minutes of effort can be reflected in the community, in the classroom, helping others in need, being a mentor and role model. Our goal is to honor many others who stand out in their respective communities as leaders and role models in addition to giving 100% effort every-time we step on the lacrosse field.
