About this campaign

This foundation was started in honor of my father, Wesley Anderson, who is currently fighting a glioblastoma (GBM), which is a very aggressive brain cancer.  The purpose of this fundraiser is to start a foundation to raise awareness and fund research for this horrible brain cancer.  The survival rate for this cancer has not changed in over 20 years, and more research and awareness is desperately needed!  Please support our cause to become a 501c3 non profit foundation.

My father, Wesley Anderson, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in March of 2013.  He is still fighting this horrible cancer.  GBM is extremely aggressive, and treatment options are limited and only effective for short periods of time.  The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with a GBM is 12-18 months and the 5 year survival is about 3%.  These statistics have not changed in over 20 years.  It is clear that more research and awareness is needed for GBM and all brain cancers.  The purpose of this foundation is to fund the start up costs for the Wesley C Anderson Glioblastoma Foundation.  This includes the paperwork, legal fees, and other fees to apply for 501c3 status.  501c3 status allows for all donations to be tax deductible.  Please consider buying a t-shirt (or 3) to help promote brain cancer awareness and support those fighting the disease!  Our goal is to sell 100 shirts!!  Ready, set, go!!!
