About this campaign
Help us restore an original piece of the Pennsylvania Railroad, our GP9 #6076.
In the fall of 2018, Northern Central Railway of York purchased an original former PRR GP 9 diesel engine. By the fall of 2019, the engine underwent mechanical upgrades, was “blue
carded” (certified/inspected), and moved to New Freedom, Pennsylvania.
Now that NCR has physical possession of the engine, we are ready to begin the required restoration work. This Restoration Initiative will allow us to preserve a piece of Pennsylvania Railroad history.
Costs associated with the Restoration Initiative include:
1. Paint & Premier
2. Body Work Material
3. Skilled Labor
TOTAL: $31,500
