Greyhound Pets of America Emerald Coast (GPAEC)receives retired racing greyhounds from the local greyhound track into our adoption program. We pay for spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, shots, and start them on flea, tick and heart-worm preventatives. We then find loving forever homes for these retired athletes.

We promised our folks at the track that we would take any greyhound who broke a leg and pay to have the break repaired. When healednd released foadoption by ouvets, we then help them find couches and families of their very own.

The time it takes for the rehab of one dog can run from weeks to months, depending on the severity of the injury.
