About this campaign

All money from this fund raiser will be earmarked for those greyhounds with broken legs and other health issues that increase the cost of their veterinary care.

Greyhound Pets of America Emerald Coast (GPAEC)receives retired racing greyhounds from the local greyhound track into our adoption program. We pay for spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, shots, and start them on flea, tick and heart-worm preventatives. We then find loving forever homes for these retired athletes.

We promised our folks at the track that we would take any greyhound who broke a leg and pay to have the break repaired. When healednd released foadoption by ouvets, we then help them find couches and families of their very own.

The time it takes for the rehab of one dog can run from weeks to months, depending on the severity of the injury.

We adopted our greyhound and he had a broken hock so obviously you saved his life and he is the sweetest greyhound you ever want to meet and we enjoy him so much. It would have been a shame if he had been euthanized, we truly appreciate what you do.
