About this campaign

This fundraiser supports GraveGeeks, a nonprofit organization focused on preserving historic cemeteries and uncovering the stories behind forgotten headstones. Funds will be used for safe cleaning supplies (like D/2), equipment, travel, and educational outreach in our community.

GraveGeeks started with one simple idea: no one deserves to be forgotten.

What began as one person cleaning neglected headstones quickly grew into a community of volunteers who care deeply about preserving history. Every stone we restore represents a life once lived, a family once connected, and a story that still deserves to be told.

Over time, we’ve cleaned thousands of headstones, uncovered forgotten histories, and brought attention back to cemeteries that had been overlooked for generations. But this work takes time, resources, and support.

GraveGeeks is now a nonprofit dedicated to cemetery preservation, historical research, and education. We use safe, conservation-approved methods to protect fragile stones while documenting and sharing the stories behind them.

This fundraiser helps us continue that mission—restoring graves, honoring lives, and making sure these stories are never lost again.

Because history isn’t just in books… it’s written in stone.
