About this campaign
What Even is THIS Fundraiser?
This holiday season Western Foothills Land Trust's fall apparel fundraiser honors the bold, the brave, masters of winter. We are honoring the guys who make sure that the Nordic Ski trails at Roberts Farm Preserve in Norway, Maine are groomed for the entire community to enjoy.
We bring you the Groomer Groupies Collection.
Since you love these guys just as much as we do for all that they do for us, (seriously, they are all volunteers and most of them are retired from pretty cool gigs!) let's all become their groupies and support the efforts to groom and maintain over 7 kilometers of groomed Nordic ski trails- all for public use, at no charge.
In fact, Roberts Farm Preserve offers free use of the groomed trails AND free use of Nordic skis, boots, and poles when the Warming Hut is open in the winter. This service for the community allows everyone to be healthy and enjoy the outdoors in the wintertime. And how great is that?
I'm Sold. How do I become a Groomer Groupie?
It's easy, all you have to do is buy one of these exclusive, extremely rare, highly coveted t-shirts or sweatshirt and every time you wear it, you can proudly know that your purchase has made it possible for someone else in the community to have the opportunity to enjoy the trails as much as you do.
AND YOU MAY WIN PRIZES
Everyone who purchases a Groomer Groupie shirt will be entered into a raffle for a winter ride in the Pisten Bully Groomer (Time and Date TBD) And we'll also throw in head Groomer, Bob Van Nest's voice on your home answering machine or voicemail (voicemail offer subject to change!)
Owned and managed by Western Foothills Land Trust, Roberts Farm Preserve is located just outside of downtown Norway offering a variety of recreational opportunities. Preserve visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and take in the beautiful view from the Libby Trail in the summer and fall, while enjoying over 7 kilometers of groomed Nordic skiing in the winter.
All together, WFLT protects over 9,000 acres of land in western Maine and maintains over 34 miles of multi-use recreational trails. To lear more about our work visit www.wfltmaine.org
Supporters
To support the WFLT and all the amazing people that make Roberts Farm fabulous. I hope to spend much more time there this year and learn to cross country ski!
Merry Christmas Erika and Ian Lindstrom! May it snow early and often and there be ample opportunity to ski this winter.
Great resource to be treasured
Robert's is a gift to the community. The ability to be outdoors and have fun exercising is the best. Snowshoe trails are a great workout & a beautiful view at the overlook. Night skiing, running or walking under the lights is a magical experience.
