About this campaign

My name is Antonio Ibarra, I am a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 156. As. Cub Scout, my Pack would help the Rotary every year on Memorial Day by putting out American Flags by our Veterans. The older stones are very hard to read. So when it came time to pick an Eagle Scout Project, cleaning the headstones stood out to me as a way to help my community. This project will not only clean the headstones, but teach others in my community how to care for our cemetery headstones and preserve our history for future Memorial Day observance.

The Hardee Heritage Eagle Scout Project is dedicated in preserving the headstones and memorials in Hardee County. Hardee County was settled in the 1840's. The headstone and memorials from this time take special care to clean and preserve. These are men and women who built our businesses, roads, schools and churches. Service men and women that have served in the armed forces from the Seminole Wars to Afghanistan. By honoring the past, we help preserve the memories and histories of the men and women that helped shape the face of our community and Nation. By purchasing a shirt, you are contributing to the purchase of D/2 Biological formula. Selling all 150 shirts will purchase 25 gallons of D/2 and clean approximately 175 headstones.
