After five hospital admissions, multiple ER visits, a total colectomy, and ongoing complications, my doctors and I have exhausted the treatment options available locally. I will be traveling to Mayo Clinic in June and again in July to seek answers and specialized care due to having such a complex case. Because I have been unable to work for nearly three months, the costs of travel, lodging, and medical care have become overwhelming. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help cover these expenses and allow me to continue pursuing the care I need. Thank you for supporting my journey toward answers and healing.

Many of you know that the past few months have been some of the most difficult of my life.
Last year, I was diagnosed with ulcerative pancolitis. Despite aggressive treatment with biologic medications and infusions, my condition continued to worsen. By March, my disease had progressed to acute severe ulcerative pancolitis, resulting in a lengthy hospital stay and ultimately a total colectomy with a permanent ileostomy. During that same hospitalization, I was also diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis, leading to multiple liver biopsies and additional treatments.
Unfortunately, surgery was not the end of my health journey.
Since March, I have been admitted to the hospital five times and have made countless trips to the emergency room. I have experienced complications including an ileus, parastomal pyoderma gangrenosum, fistulas, hernias, ongoing abdominal pain, liver inflammation, and other post-surgical complications that doctors are still trying to understand. I have undergone numerous CT scans, MRI scans, scopes, biopsies, and specialty evaluations, yet many questions remain unanswered.
My medical team here in St. Louis has worked incredibly hard to help me, but after exhausting local options, I have been referred to the Mayo Clinic for additional evaluation. One of the biggest unanswered questions is whether my ongoing complications are related to surgical issues, autoimmune disease, or if there is another diagnosis contributing to everything I have been experiencing.
Because of my health, I have been unable to work for nearly three months, leaving my husband Bradley as our sole source of income while we continue to face mounting medical and travel expenses. I will be traveling to Mayo Clinic from June 14–23 and will return again at the end of July for additional appointments and testing. These trips involve transportation, lodging, meals, medical expenses, and time away from home.
If you choose to purchase a shirt or make a donation, you are helping support my medical journey and making it possible for me to continue seeking the specialized care I need. Every purchase, donation, share, and word of encouragement means more than I can express.
Thank you for standing beside me through this journey.
