Hazel’s Heart Buddy Walk

Every year, the Buddy Walk means more and more to our family. It’s a day filled with love, awareness, and the most beautiful kind of community—one that celebrates our children exactly as they are. Watching Hazel light up in a space where she is fully seen, fully included, and fully celebrated is something we will never take for granted. This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it has been filled with joy! Hazel has faced more in her life than most, including being born with heart defects and undergoing five open heart surgeries. And yet, she continues to show us what true strength, joy, and resilience look like every single day. We walk not only for Hazel, but for every child with Down syndrome—to raise awareness, to promote inclusion, and to remind the world just how capable and incredible they are. Thank you to everyone who supports, loves, and stands beside our family. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.
