About this campaign

Be good. Be strong. is back in 2024 helping young adults get back on track following cancer treatment. I hung up my shoes in 2018 after 10 consecutive years of running the Boston Marathon to raise money for cancer research. After making a career change last year, I've been inspired to lace up once again to raise funds for Expect Miracles Foundation. Donations will go to provide financial assistance grants to young adults as they work to get back on their feet financially recovering from the expense that comes with cancer treatment. EMF also provides research grants to Dana-Farber and Memorial-Sloan Kettering which support innovative research to bring treatments to clinic quicker. Your support will make a huge impact on so many of those facing the uncertainty of cancer.

The mission of EMF to support young adult cancer survivors and cutting-edge cancer research is personal. My family was profoundly affected by cancer, as three of my four siblings were diagnosed during their young adult years. I am acutely aware of the long-lasting impacts of cancer, and know that the SAMFund grants we provide to young adult survivors and the grants we provide to DFCI and MSK for research are of critical importance. I am honored to run on behalf of EMF so we can continue our support of these funds which make a meaningful difference in the lives of young adults and cancer patients, and to provide hope.
