About this campaign
Heath's Havenis a 501 (c)(3) pending, non-profit,
organization dedicated to rescuing and improving the lives of special
needs animals in the community. We specialize in the rehabilitation of
animals with neurological conditions and mobility issues.
All
donations and adoption fees go directly to the the animals in order to
provide medical treatment, physical therapy, mobility devices,
spay/neutering, and vaccines. Our sanctuary residents are provided with a
safe, comfortable, loving environment to live out the end of their

Heath’s Haven Rescue & Sanctuary is a special needs rescue for dogs
with neurological issues, spinal injuries, paralysis, and mobility
issues. We rescue dogs from euthanasia in shelters, have them evaluated
by a neurological specialist, that provides necessary diagnostics (MRI,
Spinal Taps, X-Rays, etc.), start them on a rehabilitation schedule of
hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and physical therapy, then provide them with
wheelchairs andadopt them out. Most of the dogs that have neurological
issues and spinal injuries are incontinent, and they need extra care to
prevent urine scalding on the skin, and special care for their hind legs
to prevent sores due to dragging. Even though these dogs have a rough
start, they live happy, healthy, productive lives.

For the dogs surrendered b/c their family can't afford thousands of dollars of rehab, boots, harnesses, rugs, surgery, ramps, wheelchairs, etc. If we couldn't pay for Sasha after he fell (temp paralyzed, nerve damage) I don't know what we would do.
I have a special needs dog of my own, and she is the light of my life. I am so happy that Heath's Haven is helping as many special needs dogs as possible! Love the work you are doing and wish I could help more!!!
