About this campaign
November is Diabetes Awareness Month and blue its official color. This is a special month to recognize and support low income children with type 1 Diabetes in Venezuela. Type 1 Diabetes is a serious and stressful disease to manage. My child’s blood-sugar level must constantly be tested and insulin administered every single day. T1D causes a lot of worry because no matter how vigilant we are, my child’s blood sugar can still go high or low. And, this can lead to dangerous long-term complications like kidney disease, heart attack or stroke.
That’s why I am fundraising for Venezuelan NGO "Guerreros Azules" to support educational activities and access to diabetes supplies that will make it safer and easier to live with this disease, until there is a cure.
