About this campaign

All funds will go toward traveling expenses (gas, meals, stays at the Ronald McDonald House) involved with surgeries, follow up MRIs, and whatever other care that Sherri will have in treating and watching her tumor. The gray stands for brain cancer; the gold is for childhood cancer.

Sherri was initially diagnosed with a rare brain cancer in March 2006, just weeks before her sixth birthday. She underwent surgery - removing a plum-sized tumor -, radiation, and chemotherapy in that first year. Follow up MRIs showed she was clear until March 2011. An eraser-sized tumor was found in one of the MRIs, and was easily removed by surgery. More follow up MRIs were clear until August 2015 when another small tumor was found. And now another questionable spot was found on her regular MRI in August 2016. Our cancer doctors are three hours away from where we live, and the added expense is a burden on our family, not one that is insurmountable through Christ.
