About this campaign

Buy a shirt to help spread the gospel in a simple way. The money made will help me to further my art career! This includes purchasing supplies, like canvases, paint, brushes, etc. Your help will also go toward advertising my art to make more sales, entering art competitions, and travel to said competitions. In addition to all of this your help also helps me to continue doing my art more than working a regular job! I love being able to use my gifts to glorify God and further His kingdom. My mission is still to Glorify God using the gifts He's given me; to share Christ's love and plant seeds that change the world!

I am a Spoken Word Poet, which is where I usually express my more sentimental side and feeeelings. I am also a rapper, and my music is on my YouTube, Apple Music, as well, and on my SoundCloud/Spinrila. But, most people know me because of my paintings. I am an artist with many God-given gifts. I love to paint, and I know God has gifted me in these aspects so I can give the glory back to Him. I am 22 years old and I am from Corpus Christi, Texas (shout-out 361!!!) lol.
In May of 2017, I graduated from UT Tyler with a GPA of 3.4 and a BS in Speech Communication with a minor in English Studies. My main inspiration for going far off to college was my 8 brothers and sisters and 5 cousins I love soooo so much. I am the first on my dad’s side to receive a college degree. I am very close to my family and everything I do is for them. I want them to be proud of me as they watch me achieve my dreams. I want to give them hope that they can follow their dreams, no matter what. "If they don't know your dreams then they can't shoot em down." But sometimes it’s beneficial to have your dreams shot down, so you can go prove people wrong. So, shout-out to all those who ever doubted me, God's got me. I didn’t realize that these arts were my passion until I got to college. But I think I've always been destined to be an artist. Art is anything you create with your heART. We all have our own kind of art. My arts include drawing, poetry, writing, basketball and music. To this day, I love to do these things. I’ve been interested in drawing since I was a child. I remember my mom buying me art sets for Christmas. I even wanted to be a fashion designer at one point. I started rapping with my stepdad at age 11, and I fell in love with that art. I wrote short stories when I was in elementary school and had dreams of being an author. I wrote poetry when I was younger, usually to relieve stress. Music has always been there for me. I just didn't really notice the impact it had on me until I started listening to J Cole in high school. My junior year I was going through a lot, and that's when I first started listening to Jermaine and I felt like he understood me. He was black and white, broke, misunderstood, and a hooper all like me. His music literally saved my life senior year, helped me through depression, self-esteem issues, kept me going, etc. That's why I love him so much, though he isn't even my favorite rapper right now, he'll always be my favorite celebrity that is most special to me. Even with my arts, I still didn’t feel whole. I came to a point in high school when I just stopped doing art all together. I lost myself. I didn't know who I was and for about a year, I didn't know what to do with my life. I started to draw again when I got into my "pity parties." But the art just didn't fill my heart anymore. Basketball was also my art, and even that couldn't make me happy. As I was in search of the art that would make me happy. I came across Jesus. This is when I fell in love with Jesus. He led me back to my art and showed me my gifts. It is my destiny to be an artist. This includes poetry, music, and art. After I graduated I was trying to get right with God, gospel helped to save me again. Gospel music literally changed my life. And gospel kept me going when life became difficult or when I felt like giving up. I stopped doing the things I use to do. I stopped cursing, started praying more, and worshipping God. At this time, God actually became real to me and not just some sort of meaningless religious practice. Music still means a lot to me, like Stan "when I have a shi**y day I drift away and put em on" I just love music so much. Often I can't comprehend how people don't love music like I do, but I know we all have our preferences, we all have different souls. I just know what music has done for me. From R&B, to Reggae, to Christian rap, KB, Jermaine, Aha Gazelle, all the way to Zro… haha. Music soothes my soul. God feeds my spirit, but I know he gave me music to help keep me sane while I'm here roaming earth.\ While wandering on this earth, I long to spread joy to people the way I know I was put here to do. I'll do that until the day I die. That's why they call me hobo. Because I don't belong here on earth. Heaven is my true home. As is yours. This is why God put me on this earth... To share my story through my heART in order to spread love to you all. I really wish words could describe the joy and peace of mind that I now have! "Believe in God like the sun up in the sky. Science can tell us how, but can't tell us why." -Cole Best In The World/Microwaves by Aha Gazelle is a representation of where I am in my life… for now. Anything else you’d like to know about me can be revealed in my poetry, music, and HOBOsodes. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this and check out my site. You are appreciated, and I pray I can inspire you in the same way people inspire me. Disciple, Inspiration, Artist. Love, -Khadijah Evans
