About this campaign

In April 2015, the Honey Badger Brigade took a stance against censorship at Calgary Expo 2015. Artwork used with permission. All funds go directly to Honey Badger Radio.

In April 2015, the Honey Badger Brigade, a Men's Rights Advocacy group, started a fundraiser to attend Calgary Expo 2015, one of the biggest Comic Book conventions of Canada. This fundraiser was set up in order to help promote their message of men's rights, equality, and taking a stance against censorship.

With a little over $9,000, they were able to cover travel, food, and exhibiting expenses for all members of the Honey Badger Radio show. However, despite their vendor status being approved by convention staff, others at the convention made it clear that the Honey Badgers were not welcomed. By Day 2 of the convention, and an avalanche of twitter campaigns of threats and accusations later made against them, the Honey Badgers were banned from Calgary 2015, as well as any other FanExpo in the near future in an attempt to silence them and prevent the spread of their message.
